Unaccompanied minors service (SMNA)

The main mission of the Unaccompanied Minors Service is to set up and draw up educational and social assessments of persons declaring themselves to be minors and isolated in the Bouches-du-Rhône department. To do this, the multidisciplinary team, composed of 8 social workers, 3 jurists and a head of educational services, under the responsibility of a service director, relies on the legal framework of child protection and specific texts.

The activity of the team is declined around 4 functions:

  1. The first unconditional reception;
  2. Sheltering (in apartments and hotels);
  3. Educational and social evaluation;
  4. Day care for adolescents awaiting the execution of a protection measure.
