It’s meeting people that saved me. I walked down the steps of St. Charles train station and on the boulevard I met a Sudanese man. I explained my situation to him and he took me to an association called Afrisanté. They called 115 so that I could be housed for a month at the reception centre on Rue de Forbin. The first problem when you arrive in Marseille is accommodation. The conditions at Forbin, well… obviously when you have nothing you can’t pick and choose, but… well, the conditions were difficult.
