The PASS (Permanence d’Accès aux Soins de Santé) is a program that provides medical and social support to individuals who need care but have difficulty accessing it due to a lack of social security coverage, their living conditions, or financial difficulties. These centers provide access to a medical evaluation, a social assessment, and general or specialized medical consultations depending on the patient’s needs.

The goal is to respond quickly to patients’ health issues, with the ability to provide necessary initial treatments, and then to begin the process of re-enrolling them in the standard healthcare system once their eligibility has been established.

The mission of the PASS is to assist people in precarious situations (who do not have CMU or AME coverage) with the necessary steps to have their rights recognized, particularly regarding health insurance coverage.
