Accommodation for asylum seekers, before and after the response
About a month after I applied for asylum, I got accommodation, through the CADA – Centre d’Accueil pour Demandeur d’Asile. I lived there for almost a year.
Then, when they gave me a positive answer, they transferred me to another residence. It was a small “studio”, not expensive, it cost me about eighty euros a month, I received help from the CAF – Caisse d’Allocations Familiales – and I was allowed to work.
