Waiting after the appeal against the Dublin procedure

Extract from Recit de Ahmad • 25 years old • Man • Afghan

The Prefecture placed me in Dublin procedure, because my fingerprints were taken in Bulgaria, and told me that I could not have accommodation while I was in Dublin procedure. As they said, I might be entitled to accommodation only after Bulgaria had given the answer. I waited 4 months for Bulgaria’s reply, which accepted readmission, and then I appealed to the Administrative Court in Marseilles, which unfortunately confirmed the readmission. Today I have to wait for 18 months to be permitted to apply for asylum in France. I have got nothing, no money, no papers, no accommodation.
