Institutional websites: often indecipherable information

French institutional websites are much too complicated. You get the impression you are reading the statutes. There are never any simple diagrams letting you grasp the key information easily. You have to read a lot and you remember nearly nothing.I used publications found on EU websites. Things like “Living in France”. They are better, but often they are aimed at students or businesses. […] I found it was important to have French friends who can explain the way the bureaucracy here works.
