First meeting at the Prefecture: fingerprinting and Dublin procedure

Extract from Récit de Amadou Diallo • Man • Malien

I went to the PADA, they gave me a meeting to register my claim. A woman received me one afternoon. She asked me for my papers, I gave her my birth certificate because the doctor at the hospital had asked me and my family had faxed it to me from Mali.

I had a meeting at the Prefecture the following week (April 2017). There they took my fingerprints and they said that I had gone through Italy. They gave me a bank card and told me to come back the next day to get my receipt and they gave me a receipt of Dublin for one month.
